I have just learnt that most bookstores were running out the 2008 issue of Les Dieux du Stade calendar. For the moment, Amazon.fr still carries some. 200,000 copies have sold and the rugby team’s manager has asked for more to be printed ASAP.

Why are people buying the calendar like mad? Well, one factor is certainly the Rugby World Cup, taking in place in France right now. Rugby fans from all over the world are probably buying the French Rugby Players’ calendar as a nice souvenir from France.

The other reason is the photographer’s talent: Steven Klein has managed to create a new style for the calendar, while keeping it erotic.

I have shot a video of me turning the pages of the calendar, one by one. As you will notice, there is not 12, but more than 30 big, all-color, superb photographs. It is so big that I even have a hard time flipping through it! Get the calendar before everybody runs out of stock!

I have had several of you writing about how to get the Dieux du Stade 2008 calendar in the US. Here is an updated version of my tips:

1/ Get the DIEVX DV STADE 2008 calendar directly from France

I have created a dedicated page and a video to help you purchase it from France.

- Pros : no intermediary, real calendar, mint condition
- Cons : checking out process is 100% in French, shipping costs can be expensive

2/ Buy the Locker Room Nudes: Dieux Du Stade: 2008 Wall Calendar on Amazon.com, from a third-party seller

I have seen several people selling the calendar on Amazon.com. They have gotten the calendar sent out from France and are reselling it on Amazon.com. This is 100% legal, by the way. Now, they are asking for a lot of money, but the calendar is shipping from their warehouse in the US, so you are saving on shipping costs.

- Pros: fast shipping, Amazon.com guarantee, 100% in English
- Cons: check whether third-party seller has a reliable profile on its Amazon.com page, it will save you time

3/ Bid on the DIEVX DV STADE 2008 calendar on ebay.com

ebay.com sellers already offer several 2008 editions of the Dieux du Stade calendar. The advice for the sellers on ebay is the same as that for sellers on Amazon.com. Spend at least 10 seconds checking out their seller profiles.

By the way, the site also offers a bunch of Dieux du Stade calendars related products that you may want to check out.

I have heard that the 2008 Dieux du Stade calendar should be released in the US in the coming weeks – I will do my best to keep you updated, as usual. Now, you could opt to wait for this release.

Nude rugby: Sergio Parisse in Paris Hilton inspired sex tape ? Thank you Le Coq !

Sports equipment brand Le Coq Sportif has enrolled hunky rugby players Frédéric Michalak from France and Sergio Parisse from Italy (and Argentina) to star in its ad campaigns.

A part of the campaign is made of short online videos that try too hard at being funny. The gist is that a sleezy sports agent tries to get our rugby players to do the worst, so that he can reap a bigger profit out of them.

For instance, in the video below, the agent corners Sergio Parisse in the showers and tries to convince him to shoot a "sex tape video à la Paris Hilton". The agent tells Sergio:

" C’mon, pull down your briefs, it ‘ll only take 5 minutes".

What is actually funny is that Sergio does not obey his agent, in this video. But he does pull down his briefs in the 2008 Dieux du Stade calendar.

Will Sergio Parisse manage to keep his dignity intact?
