England France Rugby: Initiation Rite Gets Rugby Players Running Around Town Naked

This morning, I heard on the radio that the bus that was dring the French Rugby Team to the its practice fiels was caught in a massive traffic jam. Should our Dieux du Stade walked instead of taking a bus?

This reminded me of a video of a respectable English rugby club (Lincoln RUFC, established in 1882) where new players had to go through a funny initiation rite: they had to undress, get out of the bus, and run back to the club house. To make it more fun, they obviously has to do it through town.

Notice how fast the first one is going. This is a guy you want to see on a field.

Every TV crew should know that you start filming in rugby locker room, you get more than you asked for.

In this case, TV caught a player amusing his friends with a little trick of his involving his genitalia (see video).

Funny, but the player is now embaressed and the TV crew got fired. Oops.

Manly Sea Rugby Player Gets Caught Swinging It

Manly camp last night called on the Rugby League Professionals Association to intervene – calling for all television cameras to be banned from dressing rooms until 45 minutes after fulltime. wide exposure for winger The vision, shot when Fox Sports interviewed Manly’s Steve Menzies after the grand final loss to Melbourne, ended up on internet broadcast site YouTube.

That employee has since been sacked. Robertson denied he knew the camera was on him, saying: "I’m highly embarrassed for myself, the club and my family. "Somewhere along the way, a player’s privacy has to be respected. "I would have thought the fact that it wasn’t a live interview would have ensured the broadcaster involved would have ensured I wasn’t filmed in a compromising position. "There has to be a period where the dressing room is a player’s sanctuary. "There is no way the skylarking was meant for the cameras."
Call for player privacy Sea Eagles chief executive Grant Mayer said players must have dressing room privacy. "Michael was clearly unaware the camera was on him and surely there must be responsibility from the broadcaster – as well as the player – to maintain some sort of privacy," Mayer said. "Obviously cameras in dressing rooms are part of our game, but surely players should be able to shower and change without it being broadcast internationally. "One option is to make the cameras wait 45 minutes before they are allowed in. Another option is having an interview area away from the showers and dressing rooms. Michael is embarrassed."
Fox Sports director of specialist channels, Soames Treffry, said his company was disappointed the interview had been aired. NRL director of media and communications John Brady said Robertson had "no knowledge" of being filmed. "There has to be an element of shared responsibility around dressing room access," Brady said. "The players have to be aware of this, as do the TV crews."

In England and in France, rugby players are known to be comfortable with being naked. They are also the epitome of masculinity. This can lead them into making nude calendars à la Dieux du Stade, but this also can be used by health authorities to send messages to the male population.

Women are quite aware of the dangers of breast cancer. Not so with men and testicular cancer. Yet, 1 out 250 men is hit by this cancer.

Prevention is easy: get naked, take a shower, and then feel your testicules for any strange bump. If you find something, go to your doctor’s ASAP.

This is just what the brave rugby players from the Moseley rugby club are doing in this video. Watch and learn.

Sebastien Chabal has become an idol in France, where songs, videos, and pictures celebrate the bearded giant.

The second picture shows how the player changed from 2003 and 2007. He is only 28.

In TV interviews, Sébastien Chabal can be very shy. But scroll down to the video at the bottom of the article, and you will see what Chabal answers to journalist who wants him to answer a question in English.

French farmers get naked, just like the Dieux de Stade

Juste like the Dieux de Stade French Rugby players, French farmers have decided to show what they are really made of. All the money will go to Telethon, a French charity against genetical disease.

This is the second years that the French farmers from the beautiful region of La Gâtine (ou le Gâtinais ) have gone naked. In 2006, they sold more than 7,000 calendars and raised more than €49,000.

This year, they are joined by some of their wives. Selling price is €10, call +33 5.49.04.24.36 to order.

I have just learnt that most bookstores were running out the 2008 issue of Les Dieux du Stade calendar. For the moment, Amazon.fr still carries some. 200,000 copies have sold and the rugby team’s manager has asked for more to be printed ASAP.

Why are people buying the calendar like mad? Well, one factor is certainly the Rugby World Cup, taking in place in France right now. Rugby fans from all over the world are probably buying the French Rugby Players’ calendar as a nice souvenir from France.

The other reason is the photographer’s talent: Steven Klein has managed to create a new style for the calendar, while keeping it erotic.

I have shot a video of me turning the pages of the calendar, one by one. As you will notice, there is not 12, but more than 30 big, all-color, superb photographs. It is so big that I even have a hard time flipping through it! Get the calendar before everybody runs out of stock!

Sports equipment brand Le Coq Sportif has enrolled hunky rugby players Frédéric Michalak from France and Sergio Parisse from Italy (and Argentina) to star in its ad campaigns.

A part of the campaign is made of short online videos that try too hard at being funny. The gist is that a sleezy sports agent tries to get our rugby players to do the worst, so that he can reap a bigger profit out of them.

For instance, in the video below, the agent corners Sergio Parisse in the showers and tries to convince him to shoot a "sex tape video à la Paris Hilton". The agent tells Sergio:

" C’mon, pull down your briefs, it ‘ll only take 5 minutes".

What is actually funny is that Sergio does not obey his agent, in this video. But he does pull down his briefs in the 2008 Dieux du Stade calendar.
