Get your Dieux du Stade anti-wrinkle cream from French National Rugby Coach Laporte
When I was living in the US a couple of years ago, I had a hard time convicing my friends that the naked rugby guys in the Dieux du Stade calendar were real professional players.
My American friends could not see how men playing in an élite rugby club, and for some in the national team, would get undressed on a calendar. As I have explained in another entry (Welcome to Dieux du Stade), this has to do with the rugby culture in Europe.
Now, what if I told you that the coach of the national rugby team, Bernard Laporte, has just created a line of skin products for men. Yeap. And his brand is called… "DIEVX DV STADE" !!
Yes, the rugby coach that you will on the field during the Rugby World Cup had a little side business, where he manufactures anti-wrinkle cream.
And nodody has doubts about his heterosexuality, thank you. Actually, his wife is also working with him in the little cosmetics company.
The name of the beauty laboratory is "Entre Hommes", i.e. "Between Men". (Do not get started)
Only in France!
I wonder whether American football coaches will soon launch their exfoliating shower gel. I cannot wait!
I actually receivesd this morning an e-mail from a French online retailer specializing in men's grooming products. As the Rugby World Cup is starting at the end of this week in France, their email was pushing rugby-related cosmestics. (see images below).
Obviously, the DIEVX DV STADE products were there, from the shower gel to the shaving cream, without forgetting the anti-fatigue and the anti-wrinkle creams.
But French cosmectics brand NICKEL is also doing something: if you buy more than €50 worth of Nickel products, you get a free rugby ball.
